Tips For Planning Your Nursery

As if when you find out that you are pregnant you don’t have enough in your head, it comes the time for you to start planning your nursery, not that I think this is a daunting thing to do, I love to plan on decoration, the problem was I had no idea where to start. So I just headed to Pinterest and started to pin everything that I liked, just to find out at the end how overwhelmed I was, I had all these ideas but still didn’t had a clue on what to do with them! So I decided to break it down into smaller decisions and create a plan, or if you must a “nursery blueprint”. And I will share with you girlfriends out there the tips on where to start planning your very own nursery!!

I mean, of course, you will make something for your baby, but you have to take in consideration that you will spend a lot of time in that nursery and the room is part of your house too, so if you like modern style don’t go trying to do a classical nursery just because everyone else does!

This could be a color, a picture, even one little object, than you can go from there. Don’t be afraid to try things out, and if they don’t go together you can always change them, just keep an open mind.

You can start looking around to what you already have and take into consideration to incorporate that in your nursery, that way you can give your own personal touch so the baby can have that feeling of being part of the family.

Yard sales, Craig’s list, Etsy those are great places to start to find unique and interesting pieces, that sometimes all they need is a good TLC.

Don’t be scare of painting, sometimes that is all it takes to transform or refreshens up a room, you can do a wall, or even a furniture with a really interesting color that can be the focal point of your nursery.

Just one more thing, keep in mind that your baby will grown, they won’t stay little forever(although we really wished they did) so make sure you create a nursery that will grown with them, that way you won’t spend a fortune every time they move to the next phase of their lives.
